In this video, Adam Kinney explains what the PathListBox is and why it is so compelling. Then, he demonstrates several ways of using it in creative examples.

The PathListBox is one of the newest features available in Expression Blend and Silverlight 4. It redefines how users look at lists of data as it breaks the mold of a list "box" and opens the possibilities to use any shape or path. Don't miss this episode and be sure to download Adam's sample code.

In this post Karl Shifflett discusses one example application that he wrote for WPF Line of Business Tour at Redmond event called Stuff.

ImageIn its current form, Stuff is a demo application that allows you to store information about the movies you own.  It uses the Netflix OData cloud database for movie look up, which makes adding a movie to your collection very easy.

One goal for Stuff was that a developer could take the code, open it in Visual Studio 2010 and press F5 and run the application.  I didn’t want burden developers with setting up a database, creating an account to use an on-line service or have to mess with connection strings, etc.

In this video tutorial Victor Gaudioso talks about building a Behavior for a Slide in/out Navigation bar.

In this video tutorial I show you how to use Behaviors and the Visual State Manager to create a navigation bar that slides in when the user places their mouse at the top of the page and then slides away when they move their mouse away from the navigation.

Pete Brown posted an interview with Josh Blake about NaturalShow, his multi-touch not-PowerPoint presentation approach, written in WPF.

Josh uses multi-touch to navigate through a really clever way of presenting material. I'd try and describe it, but it's really best if you watch it.

At MIX10, Pete Brown caught up with Emil Stoychev from SilverlightShow to talk about the new corporate website of CompletIT.

ImageCreating your whole website using Silverlight isn't usually the approach you'll take--unless you happen to be a company specializing in Silverlight development.

At MIX10, I caught up with Emil Stoychev, founder of SilverlightShow. His company, CompletIT, located in Sofia, Bulgaria, created a very slick animated website entirely in Silverlight. It has everything from background animation, to cool folding effects, to a full portfolio to...flying pigs!
