Adam Z Lein made a review of the PC World's article about Steve Ballmer and his ways to get Windows Phone 7 to succeed.

His thoughts are very interesting. Here are the five steps, which he thinks for necessary in order to achieve success.

    1. Kill the Crap (And do the Rest Right, or Not at All)

    2. Get the Basics Right

    3. Decide Who You Are

    4. Drop the Windows Name

    5. Kill the Kin

Wow, that's awesome. Can you believe that in the future your phone will have a two core processor ?! My first computer had a 133 mh/z processor, while this monster is having a 1,5 GH/z dual-core processor and it's for phones! That's crazy, guys!

Qualcomm announced it is sampling dual-core versions of its Snapdragon chipset, targeting high-end smartphones. The Mobile Station Modem (MSM) chipsets each integrate dual 1.2GHz Snapdragon cores and offer 1080p video encode/decode plus Open GL ES 2.0, with the MSM8260 targeting HSPA+ networks and the MSM8660 supporting HSPA+/CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. B, says the company.

You can see the full story about Qualcomm's dual-core chipsets here.

But that's not all. There's a rumor that HTC Mondrian will be with one of these "monster" chipsets - 1,2 Gh/z !!

To put the Mondrian's power in to a little perspective, Apple's iPad has 'only' a 1GHz CPU as does the HTC Desire and while it's not all about the clock speed I expect that the Mondrian with a Dual Core 1.2GHz Snapdragon will be the most powerful handheld. For a little while anyway!

The full story about HTC Mondrian can be found here.

Jonathan Angel wrote an article based on the IndiMix event in Mumbai.

At this event Ballmer keynote suggests accelerated Windows Phone 7 launch.

This is said to have listed 50 Windows Mobile phones as having been launched last year, plus 30 new models that will be launched "in the coming quarter

The number of devices is significantly high! It will be great if this becomes true, but I look a little bit pessimistic on this information.

I guess we'll know what will actually happen at the end of the year :)

Great news, Windows Phone 7 enthusiasts! There will be 30 sessions about Windows Phone 7 at the coming Tech-Ed 2010 event in New Orleans, USA.

It starts in less than a week ( 07.05.2010 ) and will last 3 days.

The full list with all sessions is available at http://northamerica.msteched.com/Topic/List/ (go there and choose "Windows Phone" in the field Track).

There are a lot of interesting sessions for each level group, so we will definitely wait for some great news about Windows Phone 7.

I tried to bring you the most interesting sessions, but I'm not able to choose them, because they all seem great to me.

We are going to track the sessions and will try to deliver the latest news!

Joe Marini wrote two articles about JS and CSS improvements and changes in the IE for Windows Phone Team Weblog. There are some new scripting functions like getElementsByClassName, querySelector and querySelectorAll. They also added support for the ms-text-size-adjust CSS selector.

Here you can find the two articles: Part 1 and Part 2.

Rik Henderson spotted a prototype of a fully working LG Panther at Microsoft's demo and made some pictures. The demo is showing the latest build of Windows Phone 7 on LG Panther. He noticed that the OS is working very smoothly on this device. Rik is also impressed by the software integration in Windows Phone 7, like the integration of the contacts with facebook and others. There is no Xbox Live support yet, but this is expected to be implemented into a later build of the OS.

So this article shows not only the LG Panther Phone, but some new information about the OS, too.
