Brian Noyes starts a series of Silverlight Show webinars covering his very successful article series on WCF RIA Services. In this session Brian will give you a quick introduction to WCF RIA Services – what it does and when to use it. You will also get a solid understanding of how to query complex data from your Silverlight clients using WCF RIA Services, as well as how to perform updates to that data on the back end.
You will learn how to support a variety of query patterns from a client with a single server method through the power of deferred query execution and LINQ expressions and how the client framework will cache those objects for you. Finally, you'll see how WCF RIA Services supports updating those entities and tracking the changes on the client side so that you can send updates to the server in batches.
The live session includes a short Q&A part. A recording of this session will be emailed to all registrants.
