Below you may find a summary of all new content we've published on SilverlightShow throughout the week October 29 - November 4, 2012:
This Monday (October 29th, 2012), SilverlightShow had the honor to host another remarkable webinar by Gill Cleeren - MVVM in Windows 8. Those of you who didn't make it to the live session can now watch the recorded presentation online:
In this session, Gill explored the MVVM pattern along with its benefits (and let’s be honest, disadvantages as well) from the Windows 8 perspective. Next to the core principles, he showed how to apply the pattern for Windows 8 app by building an end-to-end app based on the pattern.
3 of the attendees of this webinar who left valuable feedback in our webinar survey won a free ebook of choice from SilverlightShow ebook shelf. See who are the winners »
Read Part 15 from Andrea Boschin's article series on Windows 8 Metro:
The whole series will gradually be published into a multi-part ebook. Part 1, including the first 7 chapters from the series, is already available on SilverlightShow Ebook Shelf.
A while ago, SilverlightShow author Samidip Basu started an article series showing the 8 common tips & tricks towards developing real-world Windows 8 Metro apps.
And this week, Samidip continues with the 8th and final article in which he's discussing Live Service integration from Windows 8 Store Apps to provide the personal user experience that users deserve:
Now that this series is finished, we'll soon convert and release it as an ebook (PDF, Word, MOBI & EPUB formats). Be the first to know when the ebook is out by following us via RSS, LinkedIn, Twitter and/or Facebook!
