I had the pleasure of making two presentations on Silverlight at VS Live San Francisco this week;

One of the great pleasures of attending a conference like this is talking with developers and hearing where their concerns and priorities are, and, after nearly 2 decades of presentations, still tweaking the balance between showing code in detail (depth) vs.

In the past, I've used slideshare for uploading slides, but if you use non-standard fonts, the processing munges it. This time, I've posted PDF and XPS versions of the slides. The XPS version is a bit larger, but has better fidelity.

The slides also include the eye chart at the end which compares some high-level capabilities of Silverlight 1.0/2, WPF desktop, WPF xbap and AJAX.

There have been a number of questions since that webcast, I'll address them in upcoming blog postings.

A while back I did a customer briefing about how to use Silverlight and ASP.NET to build a great media driven web site.  You can find the write-up, demo, and slides on my original post.

Recently, I got a hold of the video! 

We had a group of customers (and potential) customers out to campus earlier this week and I was asked to give a talk about how to leverage ASP.NET and Silverlight to build a media centric site.  I demo'ed the latest version of MySilverlightTV with a couple of new twists.

This uses VS2008 Express (free), Silverlight 1.0 and ASP.NET 3.5 Extensions CTP

I presented at the Visug Best of TechEd 2007 event last week. It was only a small presentation on the ASP.net Futures releases that are coming, including the Silverlight and the MediaPlayer control.
