From my experience answering questions about Silverlight on both Twitter and various forums and discussion groups, I've come up with ten common myths that I hear of over and over again. My hope is this one post can serve as a central place to address those myths, provide the facts that bust the myths, and help potential Silverlight users and developers better understand and take advantage of what I consider to be amazing technology.

The EntitySpaces team blog about their recent support of totally dynamic data binding under Silverlight.

We have managed to pull off something incredibly cool. We now support totally dynamic data binding under Silverlight. EntitySpaces has been gaining a lot of Silverlight fans lately as it really simplifies writing Silverlight applications and our serializable Dynamic Queries under Silverlight just rock. What we have done is akin to implementing ITypedList support for Silverlight (fancy databinding).

Michael Washington explains in details how to prevent pages from timing out by using Silverlight Keep Logged In module.

If you have a page that contains a lot of information for users to enter, you can run into a problem where their authentication will “time out”. Usually this authentication is set to expire after 20 minutes of “inactivity” (the user has not submitted a request to the web server). The problem is that if they, for example, click the Save button after their authentication has expired, their content is not saved and they are logged out of the site instead.
