    The team of SilverlightShow has come with the idea to publish a new series of 10 articles which main topic will be Windows Phone 7 development. The author of this series will be Anton Polimenov from CompletIT. In order to be easier for you to find and recognize these posts and news, all of them will have the tag "Windows Phone 7" and the titles of the artciles will be in the following format: "WP7: {title}". Take a look at the content of the series:

    Emil Stoychev (on the left), who is one of the SilverlightShow members, is going to join the MIX10 conference and he has prepared some gifts for the people who meet him.

    SilverlightShow is happy to announce that there is a new easier way for the users to submit their articles. Now, by using Windows Live Writer, you can do this in just a few minutes. If you have ever submitted your article in a blog, you must be already familiar with this tool and using it will be no problem for you. Those of you who haven't used it before might want to check the Article Submission Guidelines where you can find a detailed step-by-step guide on how to submit your article from Windows Live Writer.

    The 5-member judge team of SilverlightShow Eco Contest has selected the Grand Prize winner and first runner-up!

    The best Silverlight application from the 20+ applications submitted for our contest is Carbon Counter! Congratulations to its author Daniel James for this information-rich application presenting different scenarios for human impact over environment. Daniel gets a trip to MIX10 in Las Vegas, including event pass, 3 nights stay at Mandalay Bay Hotel and $1,000 for travel expenses, and Developer License for Telerik Premium Collection for .NET!

    The application ranked second is EcoLight! Its author Levente Mihály, who showed interactively the difficulty of generating power for each type of lights, gets a pass for MIX10 event, and Developer License for Telerik RadControls for Silverlight and WPF.

    The winner in the Community Vote is Biodiversity 2010! The author Cigdem Patlak, who presented the value of diverse eco-systems in our life, gets a trip to MIX10 in Las Vegas, including pass and 3 nights stay at Mandalay Bay Hotel, and Developer License for Telerik RadControls for Silverlight.

    All contest participants will receive a SilverlightShow Limited Edition t-shirt.

    The Community Voting for SilverlightShow Eco Contest is over!

    The contest entry which got the highest average rating is Biodiversity 2010, with 4.06 points! Congratulations to its author Cigdem Patlak who gets the Eco Contest Community Choice Award - a trip to MIX10 in Las Vegas, including pass and accomodation, and Developer License for Telerik RadControls for Silverlight!
      
    The final voting results are available at the Contest Gallery Page. Fake repeated votes from the same IP were removed for the sake of keeping the Community Vote honest and realistic.

    The judges are still discussing the Grand Prize winner and first runner-up! Stay tuned to find out who are the best two applications according to our 5-member judge team!

    Hi Silverlighters,

    We are proud to announce that Thomas Kirchmair has joined the team of authors writing for SilverlightShow.net. This means that you are going to see more often articles written by him. For those of you who are not familiar with Thomas' work, we have to mention that he won the second place in the Third edition of the Write and Win contest.

    Thomas lives in Vienna (Austria), he is the owner of kir informatics and works as a freelance consultant, developer and trainer for Microsoft .NET technologies. Thomas holds several certifications like MCSD, MCTS, and MCT. He is known with his fascinating seminars and his free-spirited way of looking at and solving problems.
