In this session, we will explore the different methods for dealing with data in your Silverlight 2 applications including LINQ, ASMX, WCF, REST, Astoria and WebClient calls. The session covers both how to consume data as well as how to expose data to Silverlight 2.

    Hi, Shawn:

First of all, thanks for putting up this DevReach video on Data Services for us. It is helpful, indeed.  But I do have one question. I have been able to follow your video until you started editing Page.xaml.cs file (arounnd 16:10 in the video). You type "MyWCFService" and you can find it in the IntelliSense drop-down list. In my case, I could NOT.  My service reference is called "ServiceReference1". And later VS complains that the class/namespace cannot be found, if I forcingly type into Page.xml.cs as you did.  Everything has been created as yours in my environment.  Do you know what causes my ServiceReference1 doesn't pop up in the IntelliSense?  Thanks alot.

One more recommendation on the video is next time maybe you should use 2 camcorders to record both you and the projector screen at the same time. Right now the screen  doesn't look clear to us.

    Thanks,

    Lei

Hmmm, it still says install Silverlight in Firefox 3 even when I uninstall, reinstall, close, reopen browser. When I use IE it shows up. Maybe you guys should have embedded the movie as a Flash video ;)
