With Halloween around the corner, Andrej Tozon decided that it’s time for some scary photos and published his Halloween Gallery made with the help of Expression Blend 3.Images

In this post I’ll explain how I built my demo application I showed at my Windows 7 Launch talk.

Expression Blend 3 shipped with a few interesting samples, available for immediate use. One of them is called Wall3D (Silverlight 3) and is a great example of one of the new Silverlight 3D features, called perspective transform.

Terence Tsang has published a Flash vs Silverlight comparison on the XML Image Gallery.Image

It is a new image Gallery! The Gallery is an xml driven slideshow which supports multiple galleries, thumbnails and lot more. You are able to add more images by just modifying the XML only. You are also able to see how I use XAMLReader (in Silverlight) in loading the XML easily. Images used in the application is a Top Model from Hong Kong.

In this post Terence Tsang presents a Flash vs Silverlight comparison on the Sliding Image Gallery.Image

The effect is a simple and dynamic Sliding Gallery. It is very easy to customize. We can add as many images and descriptions we like. And the effect is very good for fast photo gallery, scrolling banner, website and so on.

In support of the Iranian people's struggle for freedom, Ork Pad has made a small 3d'ish image gallery in Silverlight.

Have a look here, note requires the Silverlight 3 runtime.

With the release of Silverlight 3 Jeff Paries decided to update his photo gallery wall application.

Silverlight 3 saved me a lot of trouble - the bitmap effects make perfect drop shadows with nice, soft edges, no imperfectly-shaped paths or duplicate text fields. I also get perspective transforms, so now I can build out the panels along a flat plane, and rotate the entire panel into 3D. One more new feature I used was the ImageCompleted event. No more image "popping" when a storyboard starts before an image is fully loaded.
