I created this sample a couple of months ago, and I thought might be useful for others. Here you can download the sample I put together using the Modularity QS from Prism 4. You can also download the necessary files separately (OOBModuleManager.cs and CachingXapModuleTypeLoader.cs)

Andrew Tokeley has a very good example of borderless windows for Silverlight Out-Of-Browser applications.

    Source: Andrew Tokeley's Blog

If you’re creating a Silverlight Out-Of-Browser application then it’s pretty easy to turn off the default window chrome. Simply change the Window Style setting on your Silverlight project to “No Border” (via the Properties dialog –> Out of Browser Settings dialog). However, if you do that you need to take care of resizing, closing and dragging of the window.

In this example, I’m going to assume you have a master page that contains a navigation frame into which your application pages are loaded. This master page can contain all the logic to control your application window.

In this post, Kunal Chowdhury describes you the steps to create a Silverlight OOB application by using Visual Studio or Expression Blend.

In all of my earlier articles on Silverlight Out-of-Browser (OOB) applications, I demonstrated you creating the OOB application using Visual Studio. There are plenty of steps you have to follow there. Today I found another way to change the settings for it.

Rudi Grobler has been playing with Silverlight Out-of-Browser and Windows 7 and decided to post what he found.

Source: Rudi Grobler in the Cloud

Lately I have been playing with Silverlight Out-of-Browser (S-OOB) and found it cool but… the fact that I can’t just tell it to generate a exe that I can execute frustrated me! I had to always run it and install! I search around and found this excellent post by Tim Heuer about Installing Silverlight applications without the browser involved and this got me thinking… Why not just associate .xap file extension with sllauncher.exe? Then a .xap file is a first class citizen in Windows 7 (W7)?
